Das Ferngespräch

Step out of your routine, travel the world, get to know foreign countries, set yourself free! This is what Alexander’s one year world trip is all about. In “Das Ferngespräch” we follow Alexander virtually and participate in his great adventure.


Roughly estimated I’ve given about 1300 technical presentations over the years. With the last mayor website update I killed most of the materials as they were hopelessly outdated. But I will collect new stuff along with other downloads for you on this page.


If there is one thing that defines me then it is the drive to learn new things. As of today I hold 16 or so certifications and studied at Fernuni Hagen, Open University and University of Liverpool. Follow the link below to get to my study resources page.

Tabula Rasa. My wife would ask my children now “who knows which language that is?” and earn a collective sigh followed by bored “Latin”. The phrase translates into English best as “blank slate” and refers to the wax boards used in ancient Rome. From time to time these wax boards were erased by heating the wax.
